DVD movies come with great video quality, and no one can deny that. However, one thing that we can notice from the advancements in optical media technology is that as the video quality gets better, the size of the movie also increases.
This can be devastating to people who constantly fill up their hard drives with music, PC games, or even downloaded movies.
DVD Shrink comes to rescue for computer users who would like to save some space whenever they copy movies from their DVDs.
Basically, DVD Shrink works like a smart compression utility that allows you to backup your DVDs while saving on space at the same time.
The simple app doesn’t require any technical knowledge in order to use it. All that a user has to do is to insert a DVD and then open it with DVD Shrink.
On the left panel, the user will see the DVD structure and an embedded video player in which the video can be previewed. If the user simply wants to backup the whole DVD, then he/she clicks the “Backup” button so that the backup process can begin.
DVD Shrink also allows you to choose which sections of a certain DVD you are interested in backing up. This saves some users a lot of time and hard disk space, especially if they were only interested in a single scene in the movie.
Once the DVD is shrunk, users can choose whether to save the files on their local hard drives or burn them to a different DVD.
However, to do this, a user must have a DVD burning software in order to successfully copy the files from the temporary folder in their hard drives to the optical disc.

- Very easy to use
